ABOUT ME
Hello, My name is George Henfrey and I am a 2020 Masters degree graduate in Creative Technologies at Confetti Institute of Creative technologies at Nottingham Trent University and am now currently employed at frontier developments as a functionality QA tester
During my uni years I had focused on Augmented Reality development in the Unity engine for my degree and my Masters but I am proficient in level design in the Unreal Engine using blueprints. My coding knowledge is limited however I am in the process of developing my knowledge with my AR work. I like to experiment with AR's interaction with the real world, looking at how it can be more immersive, hence the basis of my dissertation and now Masters both of which can be found in the Projects Page.
For fun, I play sports and go to the gym. I have been in the uni dodgeball team since I started and was Committee Treasurer for a year. I play golf (badly).

And also play video games .......but questioning the design or reasonings of the developers is what makes me so passionate about making them.

As a technology centric person, I love little details where we can make technology interact with day to day life; this does reflect on both my university and personal work.

Had a short videogame created with a partner displayed at the National Videogame Arcade (Space Block; SideDownUp games) http://confetti.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/spr- wire-16-digital.pdf (page 10). This is still being used to show current BTec students an example of a Distinction grade game.
During My second year at University, I was part of a selected small group who were assigned a project where we had to work closely with the NHS to create a game for Children's Mental Health Services. The object was to help inform siblings about the issues that Mental health issues can have on a person and the people that they are closely related to.
During my Masters year at Uni I was chosen to run a Game jam for charity, the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and the event raised over £120.

Worked at a summer camp in America for Summers of 2017 & 2018 to teach children how to play golf. I returned in Summer 2019 to supervise various sporting activities. Camp was very rewarding and allowed me to visit, travel and live in another country for 3 months each time.
